Anyone have kids 9 years apart?

Hi all

Im pregnant after a long battle with secondary infertility. It took us five years to conceive, so this baby is a miracle. 💫 I can finally think about what it’s like to have two kids. We have one son who is 8 and baby is a girl.

Im an only child so don’t really know what it’s like to have a sibling. What’s it like to have two kids 9 years apart? Any older boy/younger girl combinations?

Congratulations OP, I’m two years into secondary infertility so really celebrating with you! There’s 8 years between me and my sister. We were at different life stages until we got to our 20s and it evened out. I was able to help my mum and understand what was going on and play with/ entertain little one, and I think she probably came out of toddlerhood as I went into puberty so not as hard as it could have been. Probably easy in some ways but harder in others, I do love having a sibling though. You’ll make it work, congrats again x

Me and my sister are 12 years apart (I know your asking for nine years but it's close)

We have the best relationship. She also has a great relationship with my brother where their is a 15yr age gap! We also managed to give a helping hand which is always nice.

Congratulations btw x

There's 9 year in my oldest and youngest (there is one in the middle of them though) but at 3 and 12 there really close closer than the oldest and middle who only have a few year between all 3 are same gender

Not 9 but 7 years. Oldest girl, younger boy. Both adults now and really close.

Congratulations OP!

My brother is 10 years older than me and it's a really fantastic age gap! We have always been close and the age gap meant he was able to really help me when I was just out of uni making my own way I the world. We rarely fought and were far enough apart not to be jealous of each other and my parents could enjoy us both in very separate ways.

My daughter has a half sister 9 years older and they adore each other. I look forward to seeing their relationship and am actually so happy the way it's all worked out.

Massive congratulations after was must have felt like a massive journey. Enjoy it, I'm sure they will! Xxx

I have 8 years between ds1 &2 and 8 years between ds2 and 3

ds1 and 2 are now adults and better friends now than when they were children. Ds2 spends quite a bit of time with ds1 when he's back from uni and ds 1 alwaya takes him and picks him up even though its almost 6 hours round trip

ds2 and ds3 have always been really close, ds2 has just turned 20 and ds3 is 12. They've always spent time together watching things and going places

Ds3 really misses ds2 since he went to uni last Sept
