Freaky plug mystery.

So we have an extension cable where we charge all everyday things off.

After a day of plugging in I realised it wasn’t working. Thought how odd. Maybe it’s tripped. Maybe if I switch on and off the plug it will revive (yes I know probably not how these things work but what harm done).

Track down the plug as it’s weirdly not in the nearest socket but behind a difficult to pull out furniture.

The plug is completely out of the socket. And entirely elsewhere.

Who would do this! DP can be so annoying sometimes.

Apparently DP hasn’t touched it - which I can believe as it’s an entirely pointless and long project.

Who’s touching my plugs. This is weirding me out!

MN tell me plugs can do this by themselves please

DP did it and doesn’t want to admit he forgot to plug it in again. He might have been testing something that wasn’t working, to see if it worked when plugged in directly instead of through the extension cable.

Well I originally did think it was DP but he’s adamant he hasn’t and points out why would he use that plug that’s inaccessible when plenty others available.

I am at a loss because it does make no sense.

It got dragged out by the vacuum cleaner. Or someone tripped on the cable or something else got trapped in it, was pulled and the plug came out.

I almost ripped our router cable out of the BT socket when I caught the airer on it...couldn't work out why it wasn't moving and was but to yank it really hard but decided to check again before I did that...phew.

He realises now that he could have used a more accessible one, but didn’t think of that at the time and now feels silly. So he denies it.

If it wasn't you, and no one else has been in your home, then it was 100% him.

Why he's lying about it is another matter. Some people just get defensive if they've been caught out, even if they haven't actually done anything bad/wrong.

It’s a piece of furniture we never move. Even if he did want to somehow access this plug there’s a spare next to it within easier reach.

You have to move about 5 things to get to it, including the dining table. All the chairs and then the cabinet.

It’s blowing my mind. Surely he would remember it and if so why lie!!!

And why not just use the extension cable on top of the cabinet. It is there for this sole reason!

This is all very minor I know but happened 3 days ago and it’s still bugging me as he won’t admit it.
