Wool duvet fail

We've tried a 4.5 down duvet followed by a summer weight wool duvet and both were too hot in our house. Well, both were fine for me but not if the furnace known as DH is in the bed. Any recommendations?

We have separate duvets - solved so many issues. Dh sleeps under a tog 2 🥶

I have a synthetic 4 tog duvet for the summer and a down 4 tog duvet for winter. Despite the tog rating they're completely different levels of warmth!

I am the furnace in this house, most of the year I sleep under a sheet and we are in NW England. 2 x single duvets/sheets is the way forward.
