Caravan Holidays

We are looking to book a weeks holiday for May. This will be our first family holiday and we're not brave enough to venture abroad with the kids yet (they'll be 14 months and almost 3 when we go).

Can anyone recommend a good caravan site? I've had a look at the Haven sites but the reviews are very mixed. They look to have a lot of fun activities but I think our 2 will be too young to get involved in most of what's on offer.

I'm looking for somewhere that'll be fun for toddlers (softplay, swimming pool, playparks, etc.) And ideally within a 3hr drive of Edinburgh.

Have a look at the Parkdean sites . We go with them every year and usually book a cabin . Entertainment on the parks.

Doesn't have to be a caravan, could be a lodge/chalet/log cabin...

Have a look at Seafield Caravan Park in Seahouses. There's a lovely pool and playparks on site. Its accross the road from the beach and you could do a boat trip to see the seals.

I would say no. You booked accommodation to suit your needs and your budget. I would not be happy having to accommodate late comers that someone else invited. And this would be the last time I went on holiday with SIL.
