Best place in UK to spend NYE

Looking for ideas for next year. Thinking London or Edinburgh but maybe there are other wonderful places to travel to with lovely parties.

Do you mean street parties? I have done London and Edinburgh and would never do it again! you are penned in, can't get to the toilet, transport is a PITA and you can't drink in the pen in London anymore.

I was thinking of anything really, indoor and outdoor.

I'm not sure I'd class standing outside for over 3 hours in the depths of a Scottish winter a "lovely party"!! You could go somewhere like the Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh that hosts a party night with food and dancing but it's not cheap.

I'd go to the Cotswolds, Peak District, Lake District, Yorkshire and find a nice pub with rooms. That would be my idyll and local pubs almost always have a fab party.
