Shark Lift away hoover juddering?

My MIL has the Shark lift away hoover and for some reason when you do the carpets it doesn’t seem to suck properly and judders if you go in certain directions. For context it’s a normal pile carpet in good condition. The hoovers suction is great through the hose and the bin does seem to get filled with dirt but it just feels like it’s not really gripping the carpet enough and jumps over it- has anyone else experienced this?

Did you ever get to the bottom of it? Mine does the same.

Have you turned it upside down and checked the roller brush at the front isn't jammed?

We have the anti-hair-wrap lift away and had new carpets a few months ago, and unbeknown to me, the roller at the front was ABSOLUTELY RAMMED with carpet debris and ended up breaking..... got a replacement off ebay fairly cheap

It was only the second time I used it so totally clear, maybe I need to mess around with the suction.

Check you've got it on the right setting for the flooring type. I can't say I've noticed this with mine. But I have noticed it misbehaves when it's clogged up at the roller.

It's still getting loads of the the carpet so I think it's working overtime from our old, clearly less effective vacuum.

My lift away judders on carpet too. It helps to turn the suction down a bit.

Ours does this if you are going against the "pile". Only on one of our rugs though - which is a really good quality. It is fine on the crappy carpets in military housing.
