What will the flooring be made of? White carpet, laminate or tile? Cleaning could be a PITA depending on which you choose & how dusty in general you find your home.

If guests take their shoes off when they enter it shouldn’t be a problem but it might look a little cold unless you have lots of rugs and soft furnishings. All my walls are white but I have natural colour floorings and there is lots of warm wood with the doors, shelves & picture rails
Not all white paint is equal though. Some are really harsh and cold and some are a bit warmer. I think it depends largely on how the light comes in/which way your house faces. Get tester pots and try on different walls in each room. If you regret it, it would be a simple enough fix. It may not suit your friends houses/lifestyle but doesn’t mean it won’t suit you. Go for it!

Looked at a completely white flat once when it would have been me and no one else or a pet. Can't remember exactly if it was paint or tiles etc. loved it - didn't get the flat for other reasons but it felt calm and serene and would have been lovely. Keeping it clean etc didn't cross my mind- it would have been up to me to keep it the way I liked it. Sometimes if I was busy it wouldn't have been perfect. Sometimes my self care would have been bringing it all back to exactly how I wanted it to be.

Meh. I have wooden floors and you can see dirt and dust there too. Every cat hair, bread crumble etc. Do what makes you happy, it's your house.

We painted our original wooden floors white in one of our rooms and 13 years later (gosh I really can't believe it's been that long!) they still look great and I still love them! We've not bothered to do much in the way of upkeep either. There are a few nicks in the paint, but I think it adds a bit of character to the floor. But it's easily covered up by another coat of paint and won't cost much to do if we wanted to do a little bit of a re-fresh.

Btw - we have 2 children and a dog!
