The salmon is in a separate packet rather than the blinis already being assembled, if that makes a difference?

The salmon is smoked. I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine.

quinceh · 02/01/2023 21:31

I would, but I’m fairly ‘flexible’ around use by dates!

Bugbuggerit · 02/01/2023 21:31

Yes I definitely would eat it !

Yes it will be fine, smoked salmon is always ok a good few days beyond use by at least.

Pennypie · 02/01/2023 22:57

Yes, I would too.

I actually wouldn't, but only because I really thought it would be a no go until I saw the responses here, and now maybe I would...wasting smoked salmon always feels like a bit of a crime, not least because it costs a fortune now.

I've been playing it fast and loose with canapés that expired on 31st, some were even prawn. I'm still here as is the rest of the family! Good decision OP, would have been a shame to waste.

I don’t have anything to add other than I misread the title as “Waitrose smoked salmon bikini kit” and it really made me laugh!

NewyearNewStartnomorejunk · 03/01/2023 12:50

I'm very lax with dates. If it smells ok I'll eat it.
Like I said to DH the food does T know what date it has stamped on it. It will go off when it's ready.
