Hello!

Feeling very sorry for myself...I am currently on holiday, arrived today, and in a lot of pain with a mystery back ailment

It started a few days ago but has got progressively work. It's an aching pain in the centre of my upper back between my shoulder blades. I also have the sensation that i constantly need to stretch and crack it...its like restless legs in my spine!! It's so sore it kept me up last night and was in tears on the plane with the discomfort of sitting still. It feels like a lot of pressure, and when I breathe deeply enough it cracks which gives me momentary relief.

Until now it has been on my right side only - under the shoulder blade and up my neck/shoulder. However it's now spread to the left - although that could just be because im constantly stretching and rubbing my shoulders to relieve the ache and overcompensating for the right side.

It feels muscular but I haven't done anything that I can think of to have caused it. I am tired and in pain and sat in the hotel miserable and wanting to come home. I'm taking ibuprofen but it's not helping much.

Any advise?

Trapped nerve in your shoulder or neck?

On the off-chance it's muscular, magnesium tablets help me enormously
