Blepharitis..... help

My left eyelid is swollen, red and painful. I managed to SEE a GP on Saturday and he gave me antibiotics. Said it was blepharitis. But does this mean that I will never be able to wear eye makeup again as that irritates the eyes? Thanks 🙏

I have blepharitis and can no longer wear contacts or eye make up regularly. I don't know if it will be the same for everyone. I have to look after them and scrub the base of the eyelashes regularly to keep stuff from building up and keep oil glands clear. If they start to swell I do hot compresses. I can wear eye make up occasionally as long as I'm looking after my eyes in the run up and after though my eyes will feel very tired after a short while. The eye makeup doesn't look good anyway if I haven't kept on top of looking after them.

I’ve used Occusoft eye wipes, which are soothing and was recommended EyeBag, which is an eye mask you heat in the microwave.

I had this before a year ago. Cleared up and I’ve worn eye makeup again with no problems
