What is this (spotty face)?

My one year old has come out in these today. I'm not sure if it's chicken pox. Currently on his face and down his legs. And one on each hand.

He's fine in himself. He had a temp last night but not today. Eating and playing and generally a happy boy. It doesn't appear to be bothering him at all.

He also has the worst nappy rash that I've ever seen. I'm not sure if it's connected but it also came out of nowhere.

Sorry for abusing chat but obviously difficult on a BH.

Looks more like impetigo than chicken pox, to me as a non health care person.

Could be hand foot and mouth

Impetigo def, the second pic especially. Usually more around the mouth but my little girl has had it twice and that's the way it starts and then gets more pus looking and spreads. U can get cream from the doctor, I can't remember if you get antibiotics too.

I've just found more spots on his arm now. Does impetigo pop up randomly? I had it as a child but only around my mouth.

Hand foot and mouth can also present in the nappy area which is why I suggested it.

If it's popped up on the arm as well I'd say CP. you'll know soon enough if it spreads.

Impetigo can spread to anywhere on the body, anywhere the bacteria gets to and can get into the skin.

Doesn't look like CP to me, more like impetigo in which case he needs to be seen asap .

Chicken pox spreads really quickly and the spots are quite distinctive when there are lots of them. Impetigo won't spread that quickly.

He's sleeping so I'll check for more spots when he wakes.

He's been poorly for two months. We'd finally got that under control after three rounds of antibiotics, though his chest sounds rattly again.

After a night of him screaming, it's even worse today so I rang the doctor and it's an allergic reaction.

His bum is so bad the doctor called another doctor in for a second opinion.
