Yoto for seven year old?

Birthday coming up. We’re thinking Yoto because it sounds easier to source and upload mp3s.

I know lots of people are getting these devices for younger children. Do you think a seven year old might be a bit old?

My seven year old got one for Christmas. She loves it. We haven’t even explored the ability to link to audible. My 4 year old got a tonie box. He’s lost a bit of interest. Definitely think it’s better for older ones.

We have yotos for my 10 and 8 b year olds, plenty of cards are for older kids, up to at least age 12 I'd say.

I honestly think it will be perfect. We got one for our 5 year old and I expected it to be a bit of a slow burner but she LOVES it. I caught her earlier just bopping along to the radio while colouring and she loves the daily podcasts. We got the Mini Yoto and she has taken it on 3 hr car journeys and it's kept her busy. I cannot recommend it enough. I have a code that will get you 10% off if you would like it prz.io/oq3edopfA

I got one for my DD’s 7th birthday last year. Is is one of the best things we’ve ever got her in my opinion. Used daily and I’ve just ordered 4 more cards for her 8th birthday next month. She likes a mix of cards. Particular favourites are Kay’s Anatomy, Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl and a book called Break The Mould.

We picked Yoto as the Tonies player looked more for younger ones. We chose the Yoto mini as it’s more compact for taking in the car ect.

We love our Yotos! We bought the original for our (now) 5 year old for her 4th birthday and she has used it every single day since. I can't see her outgrowing it for years and years as you can just buy age appropriate audio content. There's quite a lot that would appeal to a 7 year old on the Yoto website and you can always make your own cards with content you purchase elsewhere. We can borrow audiobooks from the library so we have make your own cards with ever-rotating content from the library too.
