Dust allergy

Posting here fir traffic.

Anyone else have a dust allergy? If so any tips to minimise the symptoms? I've tried taking anti-histamines and it doesn't help. I hoover and clean regularly. Downstairs is wooden floors so carpets are only upstairs. I empty out wardrobes/drawers to dust them.

However just hoovered and dusters everywhere and my nose is streaming/sneezing and I feel like I can't breathe. It's worse when I have a cold too.

Any tips appreciated! GinCakeBrewWine

I bought an air purifier which helped a bit

It wipes me out for the whole day if dust sets me off. I need to Hoover and dust regularly but my partner does the dusting as that really sets me off. I also open the windows every morning for an hour to air the house out.

Dust with a wet cloth so that it's not getting swept into the air. Hoover after. Our current house doesn't get very dusty thank goodness. I'm not sure why some houses get dustier than others.

Thank you @Sallytobleroney does the purifier reduce dust or is the idea that you have the purifier in the room you are in?

Thanks @PumpkinLumpkin I wet dust skirting boards etc but maybe I need to wet dust more and see if it helps
