Just curious to know what people think about these or other CBD infused drinks?

I saw them on the telly this morning on Alan Titchmarsh Sunday prog. They seemed to be tasty as guests kept going back to them over the others.

never tried CBD in anything but like the thought of having something when work got too much. Presume they wouldn’t have any adverse affect or be frowned upon at work?

ihatethecold · 01/01/2023 17:31

They have worked for me when I was feeling stressed recently. I was quite surprised!

superplumb · 01/01/2023 17:53

Yeah I've ordered them a couple of times. Taste wise they're OK and they do help me relax but that was after I drank 5 of them. They're expensive too

Goawayangryman · 01/01/2023 18:00

I'd say it's a bit of a snake oil thing. It's a tiny dose, and consuming it orally is not the most efficient way to get it anyway. The scientific studies that have demonstrated effects from CBD have been at much, much, (100*) higher doses.

They are lovely, you get them from Sainsbury's on offer sometimes.

Candymay · 01/01/2023 18:09

I love them but there is no where near enough of an active ingredient to have any effect on you. But it’s good marketing.

Jinglecrunch · 01/01/2023 18:11

I tried one, after a really busy stressful week. I drank it with my usual magnesium supplements, and within half an hour was in a deep lovely sleep and woke up feeling the best rested in ages. I tried using CBD oil but it didn't have the same effect, so going to get some more of these trip drinks. I don't know if it's snake oil or not, but it's the most relaxed I've been since the last time I took Xanax, but didn't feel chemically or heavy like that either. Just really relaxed. I don't know if some of that is because I gave myself permission to have a night off and relax, but I'm going to try it out again. It might be placebo or snake oil, but it did seem to work for me. I'm very sensitive to medicines and things, so it's not unusual for me to need a small amount of something for it to have a big effect.

I was bought some and have drunk them but honestly, can't really feel any effects. They don't taste bad but not great either and very pricey.

Iwritethissittinginthekitchensink · 01/01/2023 19:22

They’re nice but overpriced and ineffective.

I was IDd in Sainsbury’s for a pack the other day - I’m 38! 😂

Fordian · 02/01/2023 17:07

ID'ed at 38! Priceless 😂 I was 28 the last time that happened to me.

I’ve tried them, bought a whole case at great expense but they had absolutely no impact at all on me and I’m not a huge fan of the flavours either so I have a load hanging around in the cupboard.

I've recently discovered these and they 100% have an affect on me. Very chilled on them. But, I also take 50mg of sertraline on them so perhaps they are interacting?!

Well aside from this being a clearly fakey thread, posted to get clicks for the product, there is no active ingredient in them so they can't have interacted with your meds. Or had an effect on you.

Namechange58 · 18/07/2023 16:01

Must be placebo... I like them!

Badbudgeter · 18/07/2023 16:02

my local co-op has them as part of the meal deal offer. I quite like them. I do feel quite chilled after drinking one but that’s perhaps just suggestion. I don’t drink alcohol anymore so having one is quite nice of an evening. I like the flavours so would be probably get them as part of a meal deal without the cbd and just have them as fancy flavoured water. They are only 30 calories a can.
