We sadly lost my cousin this morning. She was a real character and between tears we have been laughing at some of her sayings and exploits.
I was teaching full time in the late 70s when I got a phone call from her one evening. She had been off work ill and had been watching rubbish TV, as she put it.
She said, "Bloody hell, Janus, have you see that singing ringing tree? Don't let your class watch it it will give them nightmares for the rest of their lives." She launched into a hilarious summary of the episode she'd seen. "And just when you think it couldn't get any weirder there was this fish ....."
It really was a very odd programme - any others that gave you nightmares?
I remember watching Quatermass when I should have been in bed and having dreadful dreams.
