If you practice mindfulness and or meditation how long did it take for it to come 'naturally' to you?

That's the question. If you mediate regularly and or do mindfulness how long did it take you to get into the swing of things? I've dabbled on and off so no surprise that I'm nowhere near mastering it but I would like to focus more on it in 2023. I don't know if guided meditation might be a better place to start.

I found the book Teach yourself to meditate by Eric Harrison really helpful.

I had previously tried Headspace but didn't get too far with it. It never clicked. Then when I had long covid I started doing deep rest, and the meditation came naturally from that. So that was several months after I first started.

Sometimes I do guided meditations on the free Insight Timer app, which I really like.
