Mine hurts from time to time.
I'm 47, perimenopausal. My c/section was 14 years ago!

I’ve had my scar revised because I had a small overhang and it felt a bit uncomfortable. Only took an hour under local anaesthetic and I’m overjoyed to have a flat tummy again for the first time in 16 years !

Ooh can I ask how much that cost?

Ooo yes I'd like to know too! I've had 2 c sections and have a prominent overhang. I didn't even realise fixing it was an option!

I'm also peri menopausal but my scar doesn't hurt. After the first c section it healed with a keloid scar and it hurt from time to time then, but they cut the scar away the 2nd time and it doesn't hurt at all now x

£900 - so not cheap, but not silly money either

This is the thread I was looking for! Mine was 16 years ago but it's still sometimes sore, and I feel like it's making trapped wind worse somehow?

@Catlover78 - what's the name of the procedure you had, if you don't mind my asking? I've always assumed that it was a full tummy tuck if you wanted to do anything about it.

I had no idea this was possible either ! My self is horrible. My tummy juts out over my scar and my scar is not great. My first scar was so much better, this one has left me with a lot of internal scar tissue too. What happens with the scar revision? What do they do ? I assumed a tummy tuck was the only option and I don’t want to risk a GA.

Shelf, not self !

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 01/09/2023 12:48

What?! There's a procedure for under 1k that isn't a full tummy tuck? Please tell us everything @Catlover78 - name of it, recovery time etc.
Many thanks.
