3 year old DD pain down below and Diarrhoea

Hi sorry to post here - my 3 year old DD in the last few hours has complained of a tummy ache, she then started crying - she has pain it seems like in or around her vagina and her bottom, she also has had diarrhoea. She went to sleep and woke up crying in pain. I've given her some Calpol. She seems to brighten up and then starts screaming in pain again. Any body have any ideas, I'm loathe to take her to A&E on New years eve as I live near an extremely busy hospital.

Have you checked for threadworms?

I haven't looked, sorry I haven't had experience with threadworms where do I look?

My DD had worms a few months ago. Only symptoms were waking up at night crying in agony, it was awful. I only ever saw one worm, and it came from her vagina! I'd definitely pick up some ovex. Hope she feels better.
