Absolutely gorged myself over Christmas

Anyone else?
I have eaten until I've felt sick some days, mostly gorging on sweets but also general mindless snacking on top of meals out, massive portions, double helpings and simple non-stop face stuffing. My body shape has actually changed in a week and I'm feeling so bloated and just horrible!
I'm going to nip it in the bud tomorrow, but it has been shameful. Anyone else?

Yes me! We are having a roast tomorrow and then I'm on a serious diet and exercise regime.I've gained a clothes size!

The weather and no school runs (usually walk for an hour and half every day) have compounded it.

Georgeskitchen · 31/12/2022 21:53

Yes need to lose a stone 🤯

Numbat2022 · 31/12/2022 21:54

It's not shameful to eat and enjoy yourself.

YouTarzan · 31/12/2022 21:54

A stone needs gone here too!

1980sfookup · 31/12/2022 21:55

Hi OP. I have eaten so much it's disgusting. I am a regular gym goer and swimmer but due to having recent surgery (blepharoplasty) I haven't been able to train for two weeks. The plan was to walk loads and keep calories to around 1250. I've kept to the walking .... But have drank enough to swim in and eaten so much I look like I did 30 years ago - when I was six months pregnant! Just gonna finish off the Smirnoff and new start tomorrow

AutisticLegoLover · 31/12/2022 21:55

I've just eaten too much homemade pizza. Tomorrow is a new day, a new year and I refuse to feel ashamed. Onwards!

Seaweasel · 31/12/2022 21:59

Yep, me too. Have been in bed with virus for a fortnight before Xmas and then ate pretty much all the food that I couldn't palm off on visitors. Tomorrow, new year, new start.

Speedmacarons · 31/12/2022 22:01

Me! Lying on the sofa feeling and looking like a beached whale 😞 tomorrow I am back on it and being healthy! Joking aside, I feel disgusting and ashamed too and I think it’s a form of self abuse - can’t help with why or stopping it though

Notplayingball · 31/12/2022 22:02

After steak pie tomorrow I will be back to normal. Have also pigged out over Christmas but calmed down a lot last few days.

edwinbear · 31/12/2022 22:03

I’ve taken to making my morning coffee with a huge spoon of extra thick cream instead of milk. And sugar. It’s bloody delicious but that stops tomorrow!

MintyPrincess · 31/12/2022 22:06

I will be losing a stone and a half by July.No ifs or buts.
Going to Egypt A.I for 3 weeks.

BCBird · 31/12/2022 22:09

Would love to say I have been living on health food, eating my 5 a day and making wise food choices but u would have to call me Pinocchio 😫had two mince pies immediately after my porridge the other day. Madness. I gained 4 stone in last 5 years . Need to stop.

CoQ10 · 31/12/2022 22:20

Oh yeah, me too

Had The Evil Cold that's been flooring everyone before Xmas so have done no exercise for weeks and have stuffed on food and drink ever since I started feeling better.

I am the fattest I've been for months.

Starting Joe Wicks and Adrienne on 2nd. Need to lose 2 stone and many many inches!!!

Pyvadanya · 01/01/2023 14:42

@Speedmacarons I really relate to what you said about self abuse. I feel similar. It's been a horrible sense of compulsive gluttony even when I know I don't want to keep eating. Just a horrible sense of being completely out of control, rather than loosening my belt or indulging in a few festive treats here or there. My face is all puffed up with all the sugar and carbs I've been shovelling into my mouth.
