8th Birthday Party Anxiety!

Hi! My DS is turning 8 next week. We live in an area with lots of woodland and a beach, and the vast majority of birthdays are outdoor events in either of those locations. Due to the time of year these are ruled out unfortunately.
I have suggested a trampoline place, but he really want it to be in his house. He is very quiet and is the kind of child who doesn't have a best friend, but gets along fine with many in his class.

I don't know why I am losing sleep over this! I think my concern is, I'm not sure if many would come because we live quite far from where his school is and most of his classmates live.....and none of them are his best friends? Is having 2 or 3 classmates a party?
I also don't know what to do for a party in the house...I know this may seem ridiculous, but I am a bit socially anxious, and I would need to have a plan in place. What do you do at an 8 year olds party? It's looks so easy when they are outside and just running around playing!

Please help me!!!!

My 8yo is autistic and only has a few friends who aren't really that close. We have tended towards 'parties' which are more 'special birthday treats' so a movie night with cake decorating, or a trip to the cinema/bowling/pottery making etc. If you choose only a couple of friends and let those parents know you're only inviting, say 2, so please let you know ASAP if child can't come, it tends to work well. That way, if you need to swap out someone who can't make it, you have time, and parents know that not turning up has higher stakes than a regular party IYSWIM

Thank you. I will definitely use your invitation technique...we are so far from the school that it would take a bit of commitment!
