Me, DH and DS are invited to our friend's house for new year tonight. They have a DS and dD. I think I'm bringing too much but I never know what's appropriate. I have; flowers, cava, dessert (choc cake, requested), ice cream and crisps.
Thank you!

More than enough - I'm taking a bottle of fizz (plus what I am drinking)

Soft drinks for the kids? And probably more Cava.

Sounds more than enough unless you were specifically asked to bring certain items. Very generous in fact.

That’s plenty!

NoSquirrels · 31/12/2022 18:13

That’s fab.

We’d take anything requested (dessert/choc cake), what we wanted to drink (alcohol & soft drinks for kids, extra bottle for hosts, and maybe chocs/flowers/extra snacks. So I think you’re on the right track.

FoofOfTheWalkingDead · 31/12/2022 18:22

OK, thanks! DH isn't drinking do we're bringing 0% stuff for him. I'll maybe chuck in another bottle just in case.
Happy New year everyone!

Champagne, chocolates, soft drinks if you’re going to not drink etc.
