Help - can’t turn heat down in house

We have hive. This morning it seemed very hot, thermostat said 22 degrees (we like our house quite cool). I whacked the thermostat down at 11 this morning but it’s not cooling down. I’ve tried both manual and off settings.

Any advice please? Feels unbearably hot.

It sounds like connection has been lost to boiler / receiver.
When this has happened to us, I had to turn off the boiler receiver switch, unplug the hive hub and reset the thermostat. To reset the hive thermostat, it was something to do with taking a battery out and a button on it, sorry I can't remember exactly what.
After all this was done, I had to switch it all back on in the reverse order.

I had to do a manual reboot of our hive thermostats when one got stuck at the wrong time and the heating never came on. You can Google it.

Is it offline? Do you have the app to check? Try turning boiler off and on again to reset.

Can you not just turn the boiler to hot water only? Mine isn't particularly new but has a switch on the front.

You should be able to turn off the heating on the controller using the menu, or turn down the target temp using the dial.

You can reboot the system from the Hive app
Main menu (top left of screen)
Manage devices
Hub (probably the first device)
Reboot hub

Thank you all, looks like the hub is offline. Just trying to sort now via the app.

Might need to unplug the hub, wait a few seconds then plug it back in before it comes back online. You also might need to reboot your internet connection first though, I quite often have to do that.

If you open the cover on the boiler you should be able to control it manually and reduce the radiator temperature so that they aren't heated anymore.

Take power lead out of hub, give it a few minutes then restart. If that does not fix it reboot the boiler by turning off and on at the wall. If no success look for the hub connection to the hot supply (ours is on airing cupboard) We get issues when the power supply or bb is interrupted and have to reset it all. First time we called hive and they talked us through it.
