I have posted this on the property page but haven't had any replies

Has anybody else had this on their house? I'm unsure on what it is or even who to call

Thanks :)

Can you help me please?

The render has blown, probably due to water ingress.

I would get a builder to look at it, ideally one that specialises in render repairs

Agree it's the render. Is there a toilet or bathroom behind? You might need to shut off an isolation valve on any pipework and/or call your insurance company if you are sure that is what it is and have that kind of cover.

Ahh okay thankyou for your replies, no it's a bedroom is on the othersidr which is what confused me, is it something that can be left for abit? Sounds an expensive job

Can you get hold of a damp monitor. I think they have prongs on that you poke onto the wall and will tell you how damp it is.

Use it on the inside wall, it may help you work out what’s causing it. Could it be a leaking pipe that goes to a radiator?

We once moved overseas to a hot county when my DD was 2 and a half. She was potty training. A couple of days after we moved in I noticed a damp patch on the carpet in the hall. Thought it was her. Next day, same thing, same place.

There was literally a shallow pool of water under the carpet, turned out a pipe was leaking in the kitchen since when it had been built, 4 years.

If I’d had a cat, I might had thought it was the cat weeing in the same place for months!
