New Year's eve movie or TV boxset recommendations, please, to save my New Year

Just that. Have craply failed to organise going out for New Year so looking for a really good film or possibly a TV show to binge-watch tonight.

Me and my dh who will be joining me in a night in front of the telly with a drink have very different tastes in film and TV; however we can both agree on liking e.g. the following:

The Full Monty
4 Weddings
Room With a View
Amelie
The Life of Brian
Paddington 1 & 2

So comedy/rom com would be good - can be quirky/indie. Or foreign movies would be good too - French, Italian, German etc. etc. He likes films with explosions - I don't. No sci-fi or murder please. No superheroes.

Or if it's TV, we both love:
The IT Crowd
Derry Girls
um...

Any suggestions, please, to save my New Year? 🙂

If you want a funny TV show to fill the gap before or after the film can I suggest Black Books, Spaced or the Goes Wrong Show.

They always lift my mood.

After a recommendation on here, Untouchable on Netflix was fabulous. If you can get past it being French with subtitles it’s definitely worth a watch, probably the most enjoyable movie we have watched this year.

We really enjoyed Raiders of Justice last night. It's a Danish film which has a hint of action to it but has so much more depth and humour than a standard Hollywood film.
