Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I've been up about 20 mins or so & am just drinking my first cuppa of the day. I don't usually sleep so late but feel quite refreshed for it!

My plan for the day is to paint Inuit people peg dolls, and some animals, ready for next week. They won't take very long though so once they're done I'll finally finish the dino I've been crocheting, and then maybe re-do my nails.

I have no idea what the girls want to do 🤷‍♀️ hopefully not much. Dd2's been having a Harry Potter marathon so she'll probably carry on watching those.

Tea is a fend for yourself affair tonight - there's plenty of food in, I just enjoy the time between Christmas and New Year where I'm not thinking about what to cook; normal service resumes tomorrow.

What about all of you? Anyone doing anything much to see in the new year? 🎉

Staying in bed trying to ward off a cold, I am lightheaded and dizzy, and my sinuses feel blocked. I was meant to be having a couple of friends round tonight for NYE but we cancelled as they are unwell. Then yesterday I felt like I was going to pass out and haven’t felt right since. I have just changed the bedding and got back into bed and will be watching Rizzolli and Isles on my ipad all day, with DH bringing me drinks if I need them and the dogs snuggling up to me.

We are having a quiet morning we've got the washing machine and tumble dryer going like the clappers as I want to plough through the uniform wash before I forget amd it's a mad rush on the day before they go back 😂

This afternoon we are off to see family, cousins etc for a buffet at their house just for a few hours. Having fake midnight for the younger children around 6pm.then we will be heading home.

Once our younger ones are asleep we are having a games night with our teens, we are all really excited! Hopefully getting a deliveroo Chinese but last NYE it took 2 hours to arrive so thinking if we order around 7 it might be here by 9 😱 but if not we have party food in the freezer.

We ‘need’ to go collect some crocks that my DP ordered for himself… he’s very excited…

Other than that, nice long walk with the dog, food shop for next week. Then we normally get a take away and watch a film for New Years…. Full on party animals haha!

Oh and I’m going to sort out my wardrobe too… have a therapeutic clear out!

I'm recovering from a major op, I'm still really tired and in a fair amount of pain, but we're going to friends' tonight and I'm determined to last until midnight. So my plan for the rest of the day is to do as little as possible and hopefully get a long afternoon nap. But I'm looking forward to putting a dress and a bit of makeup on after living in PJs or leggings for weeks.

Good morning, it is 12 C here so we gave the place a complete airing. I'll do some household chores, do the accounts for the year and some letters and then I'try to learn how to crochet socks.
Dd has some reading to do uni restarts on the 2nd, DS is busy gaming doing a quest or something and DH works as usual.

Meal planning and then I need to do a shop for the next week.

Morning all.
I have the last wedding of the year to conduct this afternoon, so I'm getting my work clothes together. It's at a lovely country house, so I will enjoy the drive and maybe have a wander in the grounds if the rain eases off.
Into town to drop off the paperwork, have a chai latte and do a bit of food shopping.
Some sort of salad tonight, with absolutely nothing sweet or fancy. (ever again!)
We don't enjoy the heaving crowds on NYE, so we usually have some champagne at home.

Morning, been to Aldi, done the foodshop and put away. Pottering in the house mainly today. I have decided to de Christmas the house tomorrow as it will be dry apparently. The decoration boxes are in the garage and it’s v wet here, so will sort tomorrow. Dominos tonight, I doubt I will stay up, DD might though. Happy New Year all 🍾

Good morning!

I've travelled yesterday and am staying with family, delayed from Christmas. Still feeling rough but really wanted to see everyone.

I'm currently sat in the car park at John Lewis waiting to meet my DC1 and his partner for a mooch around the sales and to have a hot chocolate.

I did parkrun this morning, going to have a bath and not do too much today (am a bit ill so trying to take care of myself!). Both DC (19 and 17) are going to parties tonight and both staying over so DH and I are going out for dinner and then will stay awake until midnight with the cat 😃

Quiet day for us today. As is usual on Saturday mornings it’s just me and dd8 awake and dh is at work.

So far today I’ve put the food shop delivery away and we’ve had breakfast. Dd8 is just about to go up for a shower and to get dressed then she’s going to call for her friend who lives next door but one.

I’ve no plans for the rest of the day really. Dd8 is going for a sleepover at my sister’s tonight, dh is going to a NYE house party at my other sister’s house (we’re all part of the same friendship group), I don’t fancy drinking or being sociable so I’m going to stay at home with a book and some Walkers Sensations and have a quiet one. I’ll pick dh up later to save on taxi fares.

Dd18 is working tonight so I’ll pick her up too as she’ll struggle to get a taxi home as it’ll be busy. Dd15 is undecided as to whether she goes with dh or stays home with me. She’s been unwell the past few days so she’s going to see how she feels today and make a decision later on.

Tea is a quick and easy pasta with tomato and marscapone sauce with some veg thrown in.

DH and DS2 are at the supermarket, DS1 is playing minecraft, I am having a coffee and some ibuprofen to try and shift a headache and then I am going to clean the kitchen.

We've invited my parents rounds for NYE dinner, I think DS1 (nearly 7) will manage to stay awake till midnight tonight so I've told DH to look for party poppers at the supermarket for him.

DH has decided to clean and clear every single kitchen cupboard. It has slowly become more and more stressful so I am watching tv and eating chocolate out of the way. Ds 15 is playing his drums.

Got up. Walked the dog. DH building drawer unit for DD. DH going to help other DD move some belongings to her new house. DH going to watch Leeds match at a friends. At 6pm we have a meal booked at pizzeria. Go for a cocktail at 7.30 ish then home to watch the banshees of innishillin. I probably won't be awake at midnight as I'm an early bird.

I think its just about still morning.

We’ve been away since school broke up, we got home tonight so lots of unpacking too, I was the clothes while we’re away, so at least it can go straight in wardrobes etc.

My son has the square babysitter on, he’s watching Charlottes web. My husband is still in Sweden, he’s staying for a few more days so he can have a night out with his friends. I’ve got messy play out, so the baby is mashing up some cooked pasta and lentils, the dog is assisting by cleaning up any she throws outside of her tray.

No plans this evening, we’re going to a kids nye style party later, no real plans this evening, I’ve been neglecting my piano, so I’ll try to get some practice in.
