Hi, has anyone stayed in Roscoff for 5-7 days with children? We are planning to travel by foot on ferry and just want a little break. Any recommendations of accommodation close to ferry port? Thank you!

No specific recommendations on accommodation but Roscoff is lovely. St Pol de Leon is also fabulous and just down the road from Roscoff.

Brilliant. Thank you. I don’t have a clue!

You can get a bus between the two towns, takes about 30 mins.

Thanks Paq! Starting to get excited, have never done anything like this before!

Roscoff is pretty but there is not that much to do.
if you want a car free short break on a ferry I’d look at Saint Malo instead.

I stayed in Roscoff many many years ago - had a lovely time but can't remember exactly where we stayed.

Vaguely remember visiting a nearby island- Isle de Bats or something like that.

Thanks frazzled I will take a look.
I think I’m going to get one of those old school lonely planet books and make some plans!

St marlo is beautiful

Yes, a few times.

We went to Roscoff on ferry and headed west towards Finnistere, beautiful costline. We used to stay on coast near Landeda. Le
Conquet was amazing too. East is Tregastel which is also gorgeous.

We also went to St Malo and headed west, also wonderful.

Very happy hols there when the kids were little.

Doh. Sorry OP just saw you were on foot! Yes there are pretty places all in that general area but as PP have said Roscoff is a small town. Near is presque isle de perhidy- very pretty, amazing botanical gardens near Roscoff too. Lots of nice beaches and walks close by.

Frazzled2207 · 31/12/2022 10:38

Good plan. There will be some resort type places within easy reach (short bus trip or taxi) of Saint Malo. Possibly Roscoff too but I think Saint Malo is a better shout if no car.

Thanks all, this is really helpful!
