Times when someone meant to insult you - but it ended up being a complement xD

Home visiting family for the hols and went food shopping with my mum earlier. I didn't bother with make-up and I also arguably look youngish for my age (34) but I've been noticing a few wee wrinkles creeping in lately.

In the shop and this cheeky wee shit, probably about 18, catches my eye walking towards me and as he walks by me goes - 'pass'.

And instead of feeling insulted I'm actually taking it as - well, at least he thought I was young enough to consider haha.

Anyone else had a giggle when someone's put downs backfire?

A child in my year 7 class asked if I was a grandma and another was genuinely confused, asking how could I possibly be a grandma when I’m only 30. I was dying-I’m 52.

Haha gold stars all year for that kid!

"You're weird"
"Why thank you, yes I am"

Not me but DD was having an argument with another girl at school who said something like “maybe you’d be prettier on the inside if you ate some of that make-up you’re wearing”.

DD wasn’t wearing any make-up - she has flawless skin.

I was told someone had described me as ' she is pretty in a strange kind of way ' I just took the word pretty I was happy with that 😂

A teen student once shouted at me that I was a milf. He said it in an insulting manner. Another student told him what it meant and he looked aghast and said 'I didn't mean that'. I told him there were no takey-backsies.

A friend told me I was the strangest person he knew. He did mean it as a compliment though.

Another girl said about me "and she's not even that pretty" I took it to mean that I'm quite pretty Grin.
