Posting here for traffic as advice needed - a friend died recently who had a ballot place in the London marathon. The t&cs say that ballot places aren’t transferable but his widow would like someone she knows to run for himself. Does anyone know if the organisers make an exception in these circumstances? Or do they ever take steps to verify the runners’ ID? TIA!
