It’s just so depressing.
So many more days of school holidays to cover than annual leave allowance.
DC (age 4.5, in Reception) saying she hates holidays camps and doesn’t want to go again (she seemed to enjoy the one she did in October half term, but now says she hated it, although she’s so young I don’t always know whether to take what she says at face value, eg she also says she hates going to swimming & visit granny, but she adores both when we get there)
Some weeks when school is closed no local camps are running. (Private school so longer holidays - yes I know we made the choice to go private, although local state options were less than ideal due to location, hideous school run, which heavily influenced our decision)
I’m finding this so stressful and I’m one of the relatively lucky ones, in that I have DH, granny will do a day childcare per week during holidays and I work 4 days myself. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard the juggle must be for some other parents
