Can anyone explain jeans sizing to me? What is 27/32?

Looking at these jeans.

I always struggle with jeans. I'm 5'4 but have a long torso and usually end up in petite jeans. I have chunky thighs so I am around a size 10 but have trousers ranging from 8-12!

Inches, waist and leg length.

27 is the waist measurement (this is a size 8-10), 26 is an 8, 28 is a 10.

The 32 represents the leg length. 32 will be far too long for you if you are normally in petite clothes. Petite tends to be around 26 inches.

So your ideal size based on your post would probably be 27/26 I think. Best to go in store to try on with jeans though.

That website has a size guide

In your case 27/32 means 69.5cm waist/93.5cm hips/80cm on the (inseam) legs...

Thank you! I have never managed to make sense of the numbers.
