Ever transformed yourself?

If you’ve ever transformed yourself, how did you do it? I need an overhaul of my weight, fitness and style.

I went from a size 18-20 to a 8-10 through a strict diet and exercising at the gym 2 hours a day/6 days a week. Also saw a PT, and did classes like spinning, Body Combat and Pump, and Pilates. I absolutely loved exercising and felt great.

Maintained for about 6 years but when I got pregnant it all went out the window and I never got back into the gym again, so now I’m a size 16-18 and feel terrible. I intend to start the Fast 800 eating plan again (had success but fell off the wagon) and get back to the gym but of course I simply don’t have the time like I did pre-kids. I now like swimming, aquaerobics, dance class, and might try spinning again. With exercise it is absolutely so important that you find something you enjoy otherwise it will feel like a slog and you just won’t keep doing it.

I lost 3 stone and got a lot fitter during the first couple of lockdowns. Sadly have regained it all since then but hope to tackle that in January!

For me it was a combination of upping exercise - I did a walk and a 30 minute workout most days, and was lucky enough to spend several hours a week in the sea, and cutting down to 1300/1400 cals a day.

Yes, I lost almost 6 stones but have put a couple back on. January 2nd is the day I start my 2nd round of transforming myself.

Yes I lost 2.5 stone through finding a diet method that worked for me. Along with the weight loss I felt more confidence so started wearing the clothes that made me feel good rather than clothes I could hide in.

I walk a lot now as exercise. I gave up doing exercise I hated like the gym and stuck to something I really enjoy.

I think making a small change can be a catalyst for so much more. Like I changed my diet because I was sick of all the sugar I was eating. This lead to weight loss which lead to more confidence which lead to changes in appearance etc
