So many people on here complaining about their crap presents but no one seems to own up to being the giver of said crap. Was it you? Own up & tell us why? I had no one to give to this year but I've recycled crap presents in years gone by to save money.

I only gave presents off gift lists this year so I don’t think I can have given any crap gifts. I guess it’s possible I have in the past. I do try to give thoughtful gifts though. We can’t really know what people will end up hating!

I'm big on recycling if I think someone else will like it (to either save money/time or if I dont think I'll use it). If I don't want it and I don't think someone else will then I charity shop it

I spent £40 on a top for dd - i thought it was lovely but not sure she would like it.... I asked if she liked it - yep, she did. All good , I was happy and she took the labels off - all good. Until she wore it with her jammy bottoms to bed.... "why are you wearing your new top to bed?"..... response "It's a pyjama top - I'm not wearing it outside!"... Yeah I don't spend £40 on pyjama tops!

Lesson learned - she's picking her own clothes from now on!

I’m dying to see this top

I bought it in store - I will try to find it....

I suppose I kind of did give a crap gift this year. I bought & wrapped a cheap necklace as a spare present a few years ago. I found it & gave it to MIL for Christmas. We are a bit tighter on £ this year & I thought, why not!

My mum usually gives crap gifts, normally random things she finds in the charity shop for 50p think bob the builder toys for my 8 year old or fisher price pre school toys for my 5 year old, she probably thinks they are great though, that’s the point I don’t think most people who give crap gifts think they are crap.

One - I got DD a top from TK Maxx months ago as it was a brand she liked previously. I didn't really look too closely when ordering just kind of shoved it in my online basket as thought it looked ok and then just wrapped it up without taking out if the packaging - when she opened it she laughed because it's cropped and which was something she'd have worn "like, three years ago Mum". Oops! Grin
