I never lose the joy of spending my Christmas book vouchers.

I'm currently reading Alison Weir's series on Henry VIII's wives- I'm on poor Jane Seymour.

Currently reading Terry Pratchett's biography - A Life With Footnotes. I'm enjoying it, but as a Pratchett fan I expected I would!

Christopher Fowlers' last two Bryant ands Mays - Oranges and Lemons and London Bridge is Falling Down.

Starting on Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus.

Richard E Grant’s A Pocketful of Happiness. Unbearably sad.

And a re-read of Northanger Abbey for light relief.

Snowflakes over Muddleford Cove by Kim Nash. An easy read but I love her books

Best thing? Babel by RF Kuang.

Very good, very readable, lots of little nuggets of information to squirrel away and treasure. My favourite kind of book.

Christmas Radio Times...

American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. I was given it for Christmas and spent most of boxing day reading it. It's compelling reading.

Nearly finished Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver and finding it brilliant

Combination of two primary cancers and agressive treatment over the last seven years coupled with menopause meant my reading went to hell in a handbasket. For some reason I could manage it on holidays, but not IRL, in the last week/ten days I have managed two chick lit books, and I am delighted with myself.

Still Me by Jo Jo Moyes and the The Flat Share by Beth O' Leary.

I have The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and The Girl in the van sitting on the side, ready and waiting to go.

Ferverently hoping it wasn't a blip. 🙏
