Anyone else got nothing to do at work this week?

Been in last couple of days.
Bored as nothing to do. Work in public sector & most of our offices are shut so demand is not really coming in.
Plus loads of staff off sick so I'm pretty much alone.

I know I'm being paid so I'm making the most before next week!

Oh lucky you!! Bet it makes the days long though. I was in one day this week and it was a very busy day trying to cram a week's worth of work into one day.

Is there anything you can do to prepare for the rest of the year. Online GDPR training or something equally dull but mandatory whole it's a quiet period?

I'm snowed under as most of my colleagues are on annual leave this week.

We are really busy. Paediatric surgical ward stuffed with medical patients. Now have to try and fit the electives in as well. Though it's very unfair to bring them on to a ward full of bugs.

Also snowed under public sector here sorry OP
sounds like yours is more relaxing though but I know I would not do well with nothing to do all day

We're very quiet but our boss is aware of this, so we're told to keep an eye on emails, sort anything urgent and cover the usual admin, but aside from that there's no requirement to do more. No-one is expected to sit at their computer all day.

I spent the past few days keeping an eye on bits while cracking on with the housework!
