New Years Eve

We have no plans for NYE so far but kids are desperate to do something. Considering driving down to London doing the museums and hanging around for fireworks but just wondered if anyone knew of anywhere else that might be good with kids? We are South West area but don't mind a drive.

I did London Fireworks a few years ago but to be honest, it was a waste of time I found. You’re stood out in the cold for at least 8 hours (to get a decent enough view) - public transport is rammed thru London and bars/clubs tend to shut their doors to entrants before 12am.
There is other things to do in London if you really wanted to celebrate new year in the capital.
