Can’t stop spending…

I just can’t stop spending money! I give myself £200 to spend on wants and socialising each month, but I always spend it all during the first week.

I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve bought myself two pairs of trainers, a pair of loafers since Christmas Day...

I need tips on how to stop online shopping!

Could you get addicted to selling? I love charity shops and vinted. However, like yourself I have a budget. I top my budget up by constantly clearing out closet and selling stuff. Every time
I get a sale my phone makes a kerching sound. It's soo satisfying.

@defi where do you sell your stuff?

i love online shopping and wasted so much money over the years. The best tip is to put it in your basket and leave it a few days and see if you still really want it. Another thing is do you actually need it ? If the answer is no then don’t buy.

I’m trying to have a very low spend January and not buy anything not essential. It’s going ok so far. Just bought some thank you cards, birthday card and stamps. Going to try and really think twice before frittering it all away on bits here and there.

Depop and vinted. Gave up with eBay fees we're just soo high. I like to sell vintage stuff on depop and clothes aimed at younger crowd. Vinted is great to sell kids stuff and more classic staples. Nobody on depop had an appreciation for cashmere but it gets snapped up real quick on vinted.

Agree with pp, leave it in your basket for a few days then you’ll bypass whatever the fix is you’re getting.

Agree with defi with selling, gives me a buzz when the money starts coming in. Sell mainly on vinted, duvet covers, clothes, handbags, beauty stuff, hairdryers, shoes anything really. By doing that I treated myself to some items I really wanted and now I’m in the no buy and use what I’ve got stage. Getting through products also gives me a buzz. I haven’t bought nearly as much this year.
