First time buyers if owned abroad?

Looking at buying a house next year. We've never owned in this country. Do we count as first time buyers?

Yes you do, unless you've got a mortgage on a property abroad.

Not for Stamp Duty purposes. To qualify for first time buyer relief you can't ever have owned a property anywhere in the world

Thanks, we don't have a mortgage anywhere. So yes fir mortgage but no for stamp duty, thanks
