New driver Insurance for DD to drive my car

My DD is using my car and will be using my car when she passes her test - it's a Ford Focus.

I already have my own car insurance and use Marmalade insurance for learner drivers at the moment for my DD.

She's got her driving test early in January and I was looking for some advice. She's going to uni September time and will be living away from home.

My car insurance has just been renewed.

Should I buy separate bolt on insurance for her and if so any recommendations; or cancel my policy and get a fresh one for myself and her?

My current insurer doesn't insure under 18s - have checked. Again any recommendation for insurers would be great.

Marmalade do a bolt on insurance for a named young driver and it’s based on miles, I think the first amount of miles is 500 and once they have used those you can add another 100 or however many. This could be good for Jan - Sept and if any miles are left over when DD goes to Uni they could be used in the hols!

Thank you - think this is what I am going to do
