Mine are all related to doing more exercise, eating less rubbish, saving more / spending less and some work related ones.

Drink more water!!
Eat real, nutrient dense food
Develop an actual skin care routine
Break up with my phone

Cococomelon · 28/12/2022 18:38

Drink more water needs to go on my list too!

and less phone too! It's the mindless scroll and refresh on Facebook, Mumsnet and WhatsApp groups I need to cut down on

I stole a March on food, booze and screens this year. Lost 6kg and binned off social media. Anyone wanting a friendly diet thread should feel free to join Lardy thread on weight loss chat- newcomers welcome. My targets for 2023 are

  • finish masters that has been dragging on forever.
  • get cool and impressive job
  • run solo 100k- have done a team one but think solo will be a lot tougher.
AriettyHomily · 28/12/2022 18:45

Don't make them, it always challenges me to break them!

wonderingpondering1 · 28/12/2022 18:46

Run every day and try and put my bloody phone down to improve my mental health and so I can be more present when I’m with the kids…so much time wasted mindlessly scrolling

Rogue1001MNer · 28/12/2022 18:53

This year, I WILL lose 2 stone 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Ilikeoldblippybetter · 28/12/2022 18:57

Much less phone screen time!

I average 4.5 hrs a day. If I could reduce it by only 2.5 hrs a day I want to divert those 17.5 hrs a week into doing the things I “don’t have time to do” that would improve my life significantly.

Meal prep
Exercise at least twice a week
Keep the house cleaner
Declutter and donate/sell

JerkintheMerkin · 28/12/2022 19:07

SAVE, SAVE, SAVE
Kill my CC debt
Restart C25K
Keep up my new skincare regime
Start drinking water again
Cut down alcohol/sugar/crisps consumption
Cut the ciggies once and for all
Get back into fitness
Stop stressing all of the time
Get my bathroom done
Be more patient with my 9yr old teenage DD Grin
Wear all my nice clothes and shoes even though I don't actually go anywhere Grin

Wish me luck and good luck to everyone with their own goals/achievements Smile

ladywithnomanors · 28/12/2022 19:11

Reduce alcohol intake massively.

Lose weight. 3 or 4 stone would be great.

Concentrate on self care. I'd love to start reading again or maybe take up a hobby. I've so depressed for the last year or so that i struggle to concentrate on the little things.

eatdrinkandbemerry · 28/12/2022 19:28

Eat healthier
Exercise more
Socialise more

Cococomelon · 30/12/2022 21:10

These are great

i want to save more too

Drop a dress size, start c25k, spend less time at night working. Spend less on food by being more organised.

ChimpyChops · 30/12/2022 21:20

Lose weight - have 6st to get rid of.
Ditch the phone addiction and be more present.
Get more sleep!

TentoFive · 30/12/2022 21:29

Listen to a piece of classical music from my new Year of Wonder book every morning.

Weights x2 week.

Learn how to make my own sauerkraut.

LetsPlayShadowlands · 31/12/2022 15:55

6 stone to lose here too!

mum2jakie · 01/01/2023 16:45

Happy New Year everyone!

I have loads of resolutions - even if I only keep a few of them up it should help me to be the person I want to be:

  1. Daily walk.
  2. One household task per day.
  3. Stop unpaid overtime and be more efficient within working hours.
  4. Meal planning to avoid food waste.
  5. Get back into reading at bedtime rather than scrolling on my phone.
  6. Start doing paid surveys again to earn some small additional funds.
  7. Work through recordings on sky box and watch list.
  8. Turning heating down when possible.
  9. Be a more positive person and try and do a daily act of kindness.
10. Daily vitamins. 11. Cut down on caffeine.

Probably enough to be going on with!!

earsup · 01/01/2023 16:54

Drink a big glass of water, go for a walk and then home for my first coffee...managed it today...Also more yoga, down to just one class a week and used to go 3 times....plus the usual declutter and be more ruthless getting rid of stuff but already am really....resume gym...that would be a good one.

Chickenwing2 · 01/01/2023 17:00

Exercise regularly & get fit (weight loss would be a great bonus!)
Read more books
Sustain a job for the whole year...
Eat less shit
Make more effort with my appearance

ellyanna · 01/01/2023 17:43

Be more fashion confident. I've got a couple of blazers I'd love to wear for work with trousers and heels but I don't know if I can carry off that look!
