John Bird has died - RIP

I know he started in satire a long time ago but it was when he was with Bremner, Bird and Fortune that I remember him. Very funny satire. I also loved his radio shows - Chambers and Absolute Power. He had a really amusing wit about him.

My FIL absolutely loved these three - very sad!

Very sad here today. I loved Bremner, Bird and Fortune. Does anyone else remember his Idi Amin thing? Written by Alan Coren and pant-wettingly funny.

May he rest in peace. Underrated talent.

Just watched this on the financial crash in 2008

I was very sad to read this today. I really enjoyed Bremner, Bird and Fortune. It was interesting to read about his early career and the fact he gave TW3 to David Frost who was his flatmate. I was also surprised that it has been nearly 9 years since John Fortune had died - I thought it was more recent.

Bird and fortune together were utter gold

I love the Johns.
