Using multiple One4All gift cards at John Lewis - anyone found a way?

fucketyfuckwit · 28/12/2022 09:42

I have £200 worth of One4All - over 3 cards.
I also have a John Lewis gift card.

I want to buy a new TV and use these amounts.

Online I can use the JL voucher but then it requires the full balance to then be on just 1 One4All card.

I can't use them like this online. I also can't use this over the phone.

I live too far from a John Lewis store (3hours away).

I can't buy John Lewis vouchers using the One4All.

Has anyone found a way?

If you bought other things in JL using the all 4 one then took them for a refund they’d probably put all the money on one card then you could use that for TV?

fucketyfuckwit · 28/12/2022 09:44

But I live nowhere near a JL ☹️

I wanted to use a one4all card on the argos website recently but the thing I was buying cost more than the amount on the card. I had to go to the O4A website and transfer the O4A card to an argos gift card, and then I was able to do it. It might be similar with your issue? Have a dig around the O4A website

Why not buy individual JL cards with each one for all card. JL will let you use multiple gift cards to pay in one transaction.

If customer service can’t do it over the phone for you then I don’t think there is a way, other than to go into a store. Have you got any family/friends who live nearer to a store who’d be willing to go in for you? Alternatively, try calling CS again and asking a different agent. It’s possible it “can” be done, but the first person you spoke to couldn’t be bothered.

It says in the OP that JL gift cards can’t be purchased with One4All cards…

You can use swap.one4all.com/ to purchase John Lewis gift cards with your existing one4all vouchers. I did it recently and it was super quick and easy.

Youngatheart00 · 28/12/2022 09:47

I think you can call All 4 One and have them transfer the balance all on to one card

christmassausages · 28/12/2022 09:47

Sorry just reread your OP. Why can you not use the one for all to buy JL vouchers?

I have but you can't do it with JL. I think I'm just going to buy it from Argos instead and use the £50 JL voucher for something else.

Tried that, it won't let me use the One4All as a payment method to buy the JL vouchers

I tried this but JL didn't come up as an option. I'll try it again.

There's a special place in hell reserved for people who give those bloody cards as gifts 🙁

Still doesn't give me a JL option

@fucketyfuckwit odd, it was definitely an option last week.

Yes the absolute bastards- allowing the op to buy a tv……

Is there anyone who would buy the cards from you to use on smaller purchases? I have done this with my children- obviously as high value maybe need more than one person.

Chasingsquirrels · 28/12/2022 10:03

John Lewis has been "temporarily removed"

fucketyfuckwit · 28/12/2022 10:09

Thank you - the TV I was looking at in JL is available at same price in Argos and is available to collect today. I'm off there shortly and will spend the JL gift card on something else.

PieonaBarm · 28/12/2022 10:33

Can you use the one4all cards for your weekly shop this month then use the grocery money for the tv?

Digon · 07/02/2024 15:31

I have just bought a One4All gift card for someone who combines John Lewis gift cards for large purchases. I didn’t realise there would be a problem. If they can go into the store will it be acceptable to use it with other JL gift cards?
