iPhone parental controls question

Hi, I am a technophobe so am looking for some advice. My child has an iPhone 11 but I have an android. I am looking for some way to set up time limits, app store approval etc. Would this be through iPhone parental control? Could I do this if I got an iPhone SE 2020? Or would I need a newer model? Thank you for any advice!

iPhones are excellent for parental controls, moreso than Androids, in my opinion. An iPhone SE 2020 should be fine, you should be able to get on the most recent version of the operating system, or nearly so, and all of the parental controls should be there. The controls you are looking for are under a feature called "ScreenTime". I can give you more details about how to implement things if your'e interested.
