Do fingers get thinner as you age?

I got married in my early twenties. My rings were snug. Several children later, about 18lbs above wedding weight, my rings are absolutely hanging off my fingers.
Is this a thing?

I don't think so, at least mine haven't. They might do when you get to your 70s or 80s, but at your age this shouldn't be a thing unless you've lost weight generally.

I don’t think so. I’m mid-30s and I have the same ring size as when I was younger.

Nope - if anything they're fatter 😄

Mrangrylivesnextdoor · 28/12/2022 02:00

No, I can’t put my rings on now, 30 years since they were new

OrangePomander · 28/12/2022 02:00

Nit for me. I haven’t been able to get my wedding ring on since I had my first dc. Fingers swelled with pregnancy and never went down again.

No it's usually the opposite
