Period pants

Where can I get the best ones? My criteria are as follows:

-Light flow (at most I need a standard sanitary towel or regular tampon)
-size 16
-wide and flat bum, I don't want wedgies on my period.

Help would be much appreciated, I'm very old and out of touch with these things.

DD likes the M&S ones - think they are reduced in the sale

MrsJamin · 27/12/2022 14:26

Modibodi are fab, they have a sale on at the moment. I used single use sanitary pads when I was away recently, so uncomfortable and plasticky, I couldn't wait to put my modibodi ones on again.

Beamur · 27/12/2022 14:26

You want some in the shape and style of the pants you normally wear. I got some bikini style ones from M&S but they fall down. Also some ginormous apple catchers from Modibodi which are great if not the most flattering.

I really like modibodi - expensive but excellent quality

speechf · 27/12/2022 14:29

ModiBodi are brilliant.

catfunk · 27/12/2022 14:30

I've got the full brief ones from M&S, VERY good full arse coverage (in fact they look better under clothes than specific no vpl ones I have) and of course nice and high.
Highly recommend.

Another vote for modibodi. Really comfy, loads of styles.

They have turned my period from a stressful hated nightmare to a tolerable inconvenience.

They stink. Before anyone tells me my hygiene is shit, it's not. They simply stink.

We found the reverse. Towels stink and pants don’t

KylieCharlene · 27/12/2022 20:02

M&S

Aquasulis · 27/12/2022 20:02

Modibodi

bagheera92 · 27/12/2022 20:04

M&s

My DD (14) has not found that. She changes 3 times a day, rinses them in cold water before washing. Showers daily.

She feels very fresh and comfortable, for more than when she used to use towels.

Bloatstoat · 27/12/2022 20:27

M&S full pants style ones have been good for me, also some of the full brief style one online from cheeky wipes website.

bottleofbeer · 29/12/2022 15:42

Maybe the brand makes a difference. They just have no breathe ability. Pads are changed more often, maybe that is why.

PaperMonster · 29/12/2022 15:55

My daughter uses Wuka and M&S ones. She prefers the Wuka ones as they’re comfier fabric. They don’t seem to smell - certainly never been a problem here.

Whatwouldscullydo · 29/12/2022 16:01

Modi bodi are fab.

I also really like the lady days ones too. Size 16 with alot of junk in the trunk here too.

beeswa · 29/12/2022 16:20

Modi bhodi are great . They don't smell. My daughter who is 11 uses the boy shorts and feels very comfortable in them .

When I told her the first time she got her period that she didn't have to wear them every day when she wasn't on her period .. she replied oooh I really like them they are comfortable . Don't think I used the word comfortable when I was on period as a teenager ever .

We also have the bikini which worked well .

wetwiped · 29/12/2022 16:21

Modibod all the way, the sensual black are my favourite as so comfy. Think they only do this style in black though which is a shame

Soubriquet · 29/12/2022 16:23

I bought a pair from Asda. I wasn’t expecting it to feel like a swim suit.

I wasn’t keen

yoshiblue · 29/12/2022 16:26

I really like Primark ones, much more than M&S and whatever brand Sainsburys Tu sell.

Get a pack of 3 and try them!
