Love reading other people's food ideas to get new ideas!

So what are your plans for any Christmas leftovers?

We had Christmas dinner take 2 yesterday.

Bubble and squeak tonight with eggs cracked in them lid on. And crusty bread to dip.

Christmas toastie idea I got from here.

Christmas pasties of sort, got ready rolled pastry, will it work just slinging a load of veg on top then folding and baking?

Carbonara with leftover gammon

Brocolli and stilton soup with the stilton although we haven't actually got any brocolli. Would frozen broccoli work?

Any other ideas?

Any leftover cheese can be frozen for future recipes, just make sure it’s crumbled, grated etc prior to freezing,

I'll be making a finish of the cheese board macaroni cheese at some point.
Also some Stilton and potato cakes as canapés for New Year's Eve.

I’m making a beef pie with puff pastry tonight, the turkey carcass is in the slow cooker making stock and I’m about to bubble and squeak stuff for lunch. No need to keep left over cheese as no such thing, I think we bought 10 different sorts.

We’re having turkey pie tonight, made with the turkey leg meat, some sausage meat stuffing, leftover carrots and parsnips, and a solitary leftover sprout.
My grandma always added a glug of Sherry, but we didn’t have any so I put in the end of a bottle of red wine. It made the filling a bit purpleish, but it matches the leg meat Grin

I still have a tub of turkey breast meat, will probably go in sandwiches with mayonnaise and lettuce tomorrow, though I am open to other ideas.

DH has saved some roast potatoes for his signature Stilton, chutney and potato toasties.
Not enough left for bubble and squeak. I always say I should cook more potatoes, but I don’t think I have a roasting dish big enough!

Had pate on toast for lunch. Looking forward to cheese and biscuits for the next few days too.

I've just made a turkey, ham and leek pie with ready made puff pastry. It was delicious. There's still some turkey left which we will use tomorrow in some final sandwiches. Anything left after that will be sliced and frozen.

We just fry up the leftover Turkey, potatoes and veg in a pan. Then have it with more pigs in blankets. Delish.

My main leftovers to use now are cheese so looking forward to crusty bread and cheese over the next few days!

Boxing Day ie yesterday, we always have cold turkey and ham, salad, potato salad, beetroot, pickles, coleslaw, etc.
And lots of left over puddings
