Laptop help

Looking to buy a laptop for myself and so overwhelmed with information. I need it for word docs, spread sheets, emails, browsing etc. Nothing too taxing but lots of multitasking and some quite large documents for work. Needs webcam.
I've found this - can anyone tell me if it's any good?! I use dell at work which is why I've picked this out. I've never bought a laptop before and I'm reluctant to spend ££££s if I don't need to.

The spec is a bit basic and includes a webcam but it is an older machine, although it should cover your needs. For a lot of multitasking I would like to see a bit more Ram memory (16gb instead of 8) but you can always extra at a later date if necessary. It only has a 14" screen but it is high resolution.

Amazon are offering a similar but with 16gb ram for £290.

Thanks @species5618 that's very helpful. I didn't realise amazon did refurbished laptops. I couldn't find anything with 16gb in my budget so that's great.
