Border Force Strike - Heathrow/Manchester

Has anyone travelled into the UK in the last couple of days?

I'm due to pick DM up from Manchester airport this evening and am wondering if I need to adjust my journey for any delays due to the Border Force strike. It costs £6 just to drive round the airport and there is no drop off/collection car parking.

DM will actually land in Heathrow first, and the London-Manchester leg is an internal flight. I'm not sure where she'll go through customs. She's got an old red British Passport. She's starting on France.

yes we flew into Gatwick on the 25th and it was fine. The army was there and it was much smoother than normal so maybe they should take over the jobs😊

Thank you, sounds promising.

Today is one day that they’re not striking - bizarrely they have one day back in the middle and it’s today.

Hopefully that doesn’t disrupt the smooth running until now. I hope your mum gets to you without incident.
