5lb gain apparently for me?!!!
I didn't completely go Barmy so hoping it shifts quick!

I’m 1kg up which considering the amount of food and wine I’ve eaten I’m ok with it could have been a lot more

Brisk walk with the dog later to blow away some cob webs and I will plan a way to shift 25kg this year!

MsMiaWallace · 28/12/2022 13:31

No one else dared?
Turns out it was 2lb gain for me not 5.

No I haven’t dared - I dread to think! Going to start reining it now though as I feel awful and bloated

Skinnermarink · 28/12/2022 14:28

I would ‘dare’ but I’m not going to, no point while the cheese board is still going 🤷🏻‍♀️

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 28/12/2022 14:30

I did weigh myself on Boxing Day for some unknown reason. I have gained about 3lb which is not surprising. Not worrying about it until January 3rd when I’m back to work though. It will undoubtedly be more by then 😏

Ludoole · 28/12/2022 14:31

I did but only because dp said he thought I was 15 stone. I was expecting to be about 13 and a half, but pleasantly surprised to be 12 stone 2.
I dont eat much at Christmas but I have had a lot of beer!!!
At the end of the day, if you've enjoyed your Xmas food, it was worth it!

LimeCheesecake · 28/12/2022 14:34

Oddly no gain from a couple of weeks ago - however I look bloated so wondering if the scales are wrong. Will weigh again tomorrow.

YouremywifenowTubs · 28/12/2022 14:40

Oh, you joker.

Let me get to the bottom of the hero’s box(es) first, eh?

MorrisZapp · 28/12/2022 14:42

My weight is change resistant. I can weather the Christmas orgy with a couple of pounds gain, but by the same token if I am eg ill for five days and eat nowt, I don't really lose either.

AllIwantforChristmas22 · 28/12/2022 14:44

Gained 4pounds 😩😭🫣it was my birthday a few days before Christmas and then Christmas of course!

name985 · 28/12/2022 14:46

Was ill over Christmas and have lost 3 pounds. Doubt this will be the case by January...

Goodywhoshoes · 28/12/2022 14:48

2lb less than last week, which was 2lb heavier than the week before so, despite the giant toblerone chunks over the last few days, I’m doing okay.

merryhouse · 28/12/2022 14:48

6lb more than Saturday morning, but 6lb less than a couple of weeks ago...

I think it's hormonal. Certainly it was a bit disconcerting to look in the mirror and realise the distribution had shifted. Ever seen balloons that escaped being popped for 6 months?

whatapity · 28/12/2022 15:02

I haven't weighed myself in a couple of years so I'm not going to bother checking, but my waistline feels tighter this week. I got back on the exercise bandwagon yesterday after a lazy Christmas week.

DuplicateUserName · 28/12/2022 15:08

Oddly enough, my DH accidentally kicked the glass bathroom scales and it smashed against the sink pedestal yesterday! 😧😂

I have no idea how much I've gained and won't find out until the new scales arrive in a few days.

Having said that, it's rare for me to gain more than 2 pounds at a time despite having an underactive thyroid so fingers crossed.

HelenHywater · 28/12/2022 15:12

I'm just over a kilo heavier than a week ago. But a kilo less than yesterday (when I didn't bother with dinner). Today's trifle and Christmas cake diet isn't going to help me lose that kilo.

Whatdoyouthinkno · 28/12/2022 15:26

Did it yesterday morning and I was 7 lbs heavier than Christmas Eve morning which is utterly bonkers. Half a stone in three days, seriously?! I went for a 15km run, came back and had shifted 4 lbs so I’m guessing it’s mostly water retention.
