Can I exchange at Tesco?

DC received clothes as Christmas gift but they’re too small - will Tesco exchange for a different size without a receipt? Don’t think I have much chance of getting the receipt from gift giver.

Why don't you have much chance of getting a receipt? If they're stolen, no. If they were purchased in the last couple of weeks, probably.

Not sure what Tesco policy is but Sainsburys will exchange or refund clothing that’s clearly branded as their own without a receipt, you only get the value it’s currently selling for though and it goes on a gift card so if it’s in the sale for £1 that’s all they’ll give you. Assuming Tesco would be similar?

The gift was left by family who live a few hours away when they visited on the 23rd - Gift then wasn’t open until Christmas Day

They might be able to send you a picture of the receipt @Tuttifrutti25. If you've got the receipt barcode number they'll be able to find it on their system.
