Hmm, agree maybe a spider ? Is it dead there ?
Can you get a clearer image ?

TroublesomeLuck · 26/12/2022 19:09

Think it could be a willow aphid (we have them on our tree too)

flapjackfairy · 26/12/2022 19:10

you can get eggs laid on on trees that hatch once they are in the warm. trees should be treated before going in for Christmas with insecticide

We had a big infestation about 20 years ago. Real tree that suddenly sprung into life and not in a good way!

This is what they looked like. Our tree appeared to be moving there were so many. It was revolting and the whole tree was removed in minutes.

Some sort of weevil maybe ? I would pop them outside on a suitable tree.

I had this a few years ago too, on my hallway tree. We first just noticed just a couple of bugs on the carpet then after a couple of days the whole tree trunk was moving with them 😱
I think your only option is to throw the tree out. Mine was in a pot so it’s living in the woods at mum & dads now. Deep in the woods far far away from the house.

Conifer aphid. We had an infestation a couple of years ago from our tree. I was horrified!
